After landing the Prada resort show last week, Jessica has launched herself onto every body's radar. elite has found another one.
Rumored to be opening the labels' spring 2009 collection in Milan. Jessica's instant launch proves that no matter the season, Prada still holds the power. Long story short, this girl is the real deal.

You do realize that there are general ideas of what aesthetic (and sometimes particular model) should open Prada, but more often than not it's decided very last minute. It all depends on Miuccia's particular commentary on beauty that season.
I have a difficult time believing that Jessica is already rumored to have that opening slot booked. After all, didn't you say the same thing about Zuzanna Krzatala (for as much as I adore her as a person).
I agree with the comment on June 20 12:42AM, but also need to point out the fact that Russell Marsh wasn't in NY to meet these new girls (Sigrid, Myf, Jessica Cline) - they were selected by the shows stylist, Olivier Rizzo, who was partially responsible for casting the show.
Russell Marsh is the sole casting director for the Prada F/W and S/S shows, THUS, the line up is going to change. He may not even like Jessica Cline, let alone give her the opening slot in the most coveted show of the season.
I also agree with youarearock... I mean, anonymous. But I do like Jessica, all the best to her.
