Model Update: Suzie and Julia

On the Clotheshorse, one of our regular features is "what's next". We feature girls that we find interesting and think that they have the potential to be successful in this ever crazy industry. In this last week, it was brought to our attention that some of our first finds, have had some recent, major developments. Let us update you on Suzie and Julia...
We featured Suzie Bird back in March, right after she appeared on the development board of Elite Paris. She has since been signed with Supreme in NY and if history serves right, Suzie is about to have a major season.
The freckled Julia Shvets was one of our first finds back in February, and off to ONE she goes. Julia has the presence, height, look and now the management to make her legend.
We've got our eyes on these off beauties, we sense this is only the beginning. Keeps watch...

Who's Next? Emma Beam

Not entirely new, Emma Beam was one that really stood out last season. Some may not get it yet, but this Beam is brilliant!
I'm thinking next season will belong to this 5'11" Elite wonder, stay tuned...

The Magnificent 10... Spring 2009... Katrin

1. Katrin... Women

Women's Katrin Thormann is the strongest newcomer coming out of Spring 2009. 2 Months since the shows have ended and Katrin has already been published in Dazed and Confused (cover), Italian Vogue (cover), Harper's Bazaar and Vogue Nippon. Her show season was incredible, New York saw Marc, Calvin, Proenza, Anna Sui and Narciso. In Milan she walked for Dolce, Prada and opened Marni and in Paris Katrin was in Miu Miu, Vuitton, Chanel, Givenchy and Mcqueen. Not too shabby for a first season girl coming from nothing. This season has been kind to Katrin as Steven Meisel, who shot her Italian Vogue cover, has picked her up for both his campaigns for Prada and Mulberry. Katrin is one girl who has really risen above the masses, incredible.

The Magnificent 10... Spring 2009... Anya

2. Anya... Marilyn

Boasting one of the most impressive first season show records in history and the worlds most incredible models body, Marilyn's Anya Kazakova is a shoe in on any list this season. Starting her run with Marc Jacobs, Philosophy, and opening Calvin, Anya then went on to land Giles, Jil Sander, Prada, Marni, Versace, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Nina Ricci and Vuitton, walking a total of 51 shows. since shows however, Anya has barely been seen in magazines, the reason for her not landing the #1 spot. That said, things are still flying high for this 5'11" Russian stunner as she just shot the much-coveted Balenciaga campaign. As the magazine stories begin to come out, Anya is only going to become more and more coveted, Miss Kazakova isn't going anywhere.

The Magnificent 10... Spring 2009... Sigrid

3. Sigrid... New York Models

When Sigrid Agren closed Prada's Resort 2008 a few months ago, we new it was made. With the poise and runway presence of a seasoned professional, Sigrid was a must book for the season. Walking a remarkable 51 shows, opening 7 and closing Prada, she easily had one of the strongest runway debuts of the season. Since then, Sigrid has been picked up for the much-anticipated Prada campaign. This french stunner is going to be a staple show girl for years to come as well as a valued editorial force. Girls like this don't come by every day.

Curious Shelby Coleman

IMG's Shelby Coleman is one of the most interesting faces I've seen in recent months. It won't be long before the rest of the industry picks up on her intriguing beauty. And with French Revue de la Modes and Giambattista Valli already on her side, It's only a matter of time...
